Residential
Residential uses are legal under permitted uses for the following Zoning Districts:
- Neighborhood Residential: Single family detached, single family semi-detached - only permitted on lots of less than one acre existing as of effective date of Ordinance
- Traditional Town Neighborhood: Single family detached, single family semi-detached, apartment/condominium - must have a minimum of 2,500 square feet on ground floor
- Downtown: Apartment/condominium - second floor and above only
- Neighborhood Business: Apartment/condominium if located on the upper floors of a building with a store or office
- Downtown Gateway: Apartment/condominium - second floor and above
Certain types of Residential Uses must apply for a Conditional Use or Existing Building Conditional Use for the following Zoning Districts:
- Neighborhood Residential: to convert to a multi-unit dwelling
- Traditional Town Neighborhood: any existing non-residential building consisting of two or more stories with a minimum of 2,500 square feet on the ground floor of the principle building into apartment/condominium
- Downtown: Apartment/condominium in buildings with a minimum of 2,500 square feet on the first floor, single family semi-detached, except on Hanover Street and High Street, between York and Evans Streets
- Downtown Gateway: Attached Single Family - No Hanover Street frontage
