Water Treatment Plant

The Water Treatment Plant provides water to the Borough of Pottstown, and areas of West Pottsgrove, Upper Pottsgrove, Lower Pottsgrove, and North Coventry. The source of water comes from the Schuylkill River. The plant produces an average 4.5 million gallons of water each day.

Water Distribution & Treatment

The Pottstown Borough Authority owns the Water Treatment Plant and approximately 115 miles of underground pipes necessary to provide clean and safe water to area residential, commercial, and industrial customers. During the past several years, the authority has made significant improvements in the water system to ensure quality service. The authority is a public body, composed of five members that are appointed by the Borough Council. Meetings are open to the public and held on the third Tuesday of each month at Borough Hall, 100 E. High Street, 3rd Floor, Pottstown, PA 19464.
