Water Treatment Plant
Pottstown's Water Treatment Plant is located in West Pottsgrove Township and serves 11, 500 customers throughout the Borough and three surrounding Townships. An average of five million gallons of treated water, drawn from the Schuylkill River, leave the plant each day on its way to area homes and businesses. Approximately 12 million gallons of water can be stored for daily use. The Borough has a staff of seven employees operating the plant, seven days a week. The Public Works Department employs five workers responsible for the repair and maintenance of the 115 miles of pipes and equipment, which make up the water distribution system.

The Borough Authority is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality of water. The Water Treatment Plant constantly monitors your drinking water for quality according to Federal and State laws. We are pleased to provide you with our Consumer Confidence Report for the years 2006, which contains valuable information about your drinking water. This report summarizes the water quality provided to you.

We are pleased to report that our water had no violations and meets or exceeds all federal and state requirements.
