Due to an increase in the overall volume
of trash and refuse being collected in the Borough and
increasing costs for disposal, a new bulk waste and
white goods pick-up service is being initiated. As of
April 1, 2005 residents that desire the Borough to pick
up and dispose of bulk waste items and white goods must
complete a service order form and pay an additional
amount for each item. Completed service order forms
can be brought in or mailed to Borough Hall. Stickers
for each item will be issued upon payment. The stickers
should be placed on the items for which they were purchased
and the contractor will be notified to pick them up.
Bulk waste items and white goods that do not have the
proper sticker will not be picked up. All residents
are being asked to comply with Borough Ordinances and
this new program. Additional order forms can be obtained
from the Finance Department at Borough Hall or by calling
610-970-6530.
Trash will not be collected on the following
days/holidays:
Saturdays, Sundays
New Years Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
If your trash collection day is one the above Holidays,
then your trash will not be collected until the following
scheduled day.

Recycling
The Borough’s recycling program is a
commingled curbside collection program, meaning that
all recyclables may be mixed together in your green
recycling bin. Newspaper needs to be bundled and placed
on top of your container.
When to Recycle
All of the Recycle and Collection days information is now available in a printable
PDF file. You can easily print, in a larger type, all of the items that can and
should be put into your new recycle bins. CLICK HERE
All other metal items such as aerosol cans, pots and
pans, wire hangers, etc. are not included in the recycling
program. No lids or covers—just the cans.
Any glass bottles and jars used for food or beverages
are recyclable. Glass that did not contain a food or
beverage is not included in the recycling program. No
lids or covers—just the glass jars.
