Parks & Recreation
Parks and Recreation provides educational and recreational programming for all ages at an affordable cost. In addition, we maintain and manage the 13 parks in the borough. Park facilities include the Fountain of Youth Spray Park, Trilogy BMX, a skateboard park, ball fields, picnic pavilions, tennis courts, Riverfront walking trail, the Bark Park, and age appropriate playground equipment.

Future Developments

A miniature golf course is planned to open in 2014.

Position Vacancy Notice

Regional Recreation and Parks Coordinator, Greater Pottstown Region: Newly-created position to provide leadership, guidance, technical and planning assistance and coordination of parks, recreation, trails and open space projects and programs for six Pennsylvania municipalities. Bachelor’s degree required, plus 5 years of experience in municipal parks and recreation, with a strong background in park and trail management, grant writing experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented parks and recreation professional with the ability to plan, organize and successfully manage multiple activities and inspire cooperation and communication among all stakeholders. Salary: $65,000 plus full benefit package.
